The interaction process between customers and sales agents required a lot of effort and time. Tracking the received information and making predictions was difficult for both sides, customers and sales agents. The client wanted to have a portal where every customer could view information about their quotes and contact a sales agent to get new quotes based on prerequisites.

The client wanted the community branding with the adjustment of company colors and logos in order to take care of the marketing and create reports and dashboards.

The Vimera Solution Architect proposed to Vlocity Pack for Energy and Utilities to manage the quotation process on the customer community side. It’s worth mentioning that the client could be covered without Vlocity using a standard CPQ approach or even custom development. However, the strategic decision on the client’s side was to go forward with a specific industrial solution that would help scale the existing business and build and develop a partner/dealership network in the near future.

The Vimera team implemented a Customer Experience Cloud with CPQ UI widgets module and modified OmniScript template for utility (from the industrial pack). On that Community Portal users can easily interact with each other, find information about their quotes, and contact sales managers. All quotes and offers that are currently active are displayed on the screen. The user can click on any offer and see all the information about it and information about sellers. Engaging pictures, clear offers, sellers’ avatars which are also displayed help customers communicate effectively with sales agents and better understand the advantages of each product and solution.

The Vimera team optimized the bundle composition rules as well as auto discount rules and migrated them from the previously used system into Salesforce. Additionally, based on the client’s request, the Vimera team kept the possibility to apply custom discounts. At the same time, an overall discounted amount still undergoes some validations to prevent zero-profit deals.

For user enablement and performance tracking in Sales and Service, the Vimera team set up reports and dashboards that display sales performance and quote conversion rates.

The Vimera team implemented surveys using the package Survey-Vista in order to track CSAT – customer satisfaction score.

We developed visual displays to let managers see all community details and interactions dashboards, key metrics, and trends.
